APPEARANCE

Short haired Abyssinian tom. Average sized tom with slender face and sort of lanky body. Amber colored eyes.

PERSONALITY

Pinestar is a proud young tom, who is loyal to his beliefs. His beliefs and way of life are challenged when he is rescued and taken in my two-legs. He trusts his new companion, Church, a little too much. Believing what he is told, and doubting his previous beliefs and even his warrior ancestors. His arrogance to those beneath him can lead to conflict, and his stubbornness is troublesome. Pinestar wants the clans to survive, and believes that by converting them to his and Church's beliefs he is saving them. Though clever and observant, Pine's judgement is clouded by doubts, making him easily manipulated.

HISTORY + MORE

The story of Pinestar starts even before he was born. When his grandfather, Tidestar, passed away his son and deputy, Crookedjaw, became the new leader of BreezeClan. The tradition of the clan was to pass on the position of leader from father to son, as it has been this way for hundreds of moons. With the newly named Crookedstar's first son Pinekit being the only surviving kit of his litter he was already destined to become the next leader of the clan. Until young Pinekit was ready to become deputy Crookedstar appointed his mate, Otterpelt, to the position. Crookedstar oversaw Pinepaw's training, making sure everything was up to the standards of a future leader. When he had finished his training and was of age Pinepaw was named a warrior. The newly named Pineshade wasted little time in proving his strength as a BreezeClan warrior. At the young age of 24 moons Pineshade became deputy of Breezeclan, after his mother Otterpelt stepped down from the position and retired to the elder's den. Though he was a rather young deputy Pineshade proved he could handle the immense responsibility and was able to carry out his duties with relative ease. Two years after he was named deputy of BreezeClan Pineshade was faced with a new challenge. Crookedstar fell ill with greencough. Sadly in his old age the once strong leader could not fight of the sickness and his last life was claimed. Left with little time to mourn his father Pineshade had to travel to Starpools to receive his nine lives and new name. Upon his return Pinestar must choose a new deputy to take his place. With no kits of age and no mate at the time he is left with a difficult decision. Pinestar chooses his half sister Brackenstripe to be his new deputy.

About 7 moons after becoming leader Pinestar becomes mates with Honeyfur, and a little over two moons later his three kits are born, Foxkit, Heatherkit, and Dewkit. To his slight disappointment Honeyfur bears no sons in her litter. Despite his mild disappointment Pinestar is happy that his kits are healthy. When he found free time the leader would occasionally be seen heading to the nursery to check on his kits and mate. Tragedy strikes in BreezeClan two moons after the birth of Pinestar's kits. One a stormy night Pinestar and Brackenstripe take a small hunting patrol and go out to fish to bring back prey for the clan. As Pinestar was sitting on a small rocky outcrop a stray wave barrels towards him, sweeping over the rock outcropping, swallowing the young leader into the dark and frigid waters. Brackenstripe attempts to rescue Pinestar from the ocean, but the waves prove to be too much for her to fight and she must retreat further inland. With no sign of Pinestar surfacing the worst is feared. The clan sent out search parties in hope of finding their leader, but as time passed their hopes dwindled until all they could assume was that their young leader had been claimed by the unforgiving ocean.
